WILLIAM KENTRIDGE. SORIGUÉ FOUNDATION
The exhibition traces a journey through William Kentridge’s emblematic works through his creative process as a leitmotif.
The artist transforms the drawing into a living element that tells us about what is universal in the human being. His unique style, characterized by a multidisciplinary approach, has made him one of the fundamental artists of the 21st century.
Kentridge fuses traditional techniques such as freehand drawing and animation with contemporary media such as film, performance and installation.
Create deeply reflective and visually striking pieces. All of them are a reflection of his personal and global concern about issues such as repression, injustice and atrocity.
Through the association of ideas, the artist represents social problems that take on a universal character, dealing with human suffering and social injustices, always with a great critical and even humorous sense.
